Are you, or are you studying to be, a biomedical analyst? Now you have the chance to work as a laboratory assistant during the summer of 2026 and become part of our wonderful team of colleagues in clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine!

Clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Region Kronoberg includes the laboratories of clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine at the hospitals in both Växjö and Ljungby. We are an accredited operation which imposes requirements on quality systems, competence, and documentation. Clinical chemistry performs about 5 million analyses per year. We primarily work with routine analyses while also conducting analyses in various specialties. Transfusion medicine annually receives about 10,000 blood donors, produces blood components, and performs over 30,000 blood group serological analyses.

With the broad competence we have, we as an accredited operation can meet the requirements for good quality systems, competence, and documentation. Our operations run 24/7 throughout the year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a laboratory assistant with us, you will gain insight into the usual tasks of a biomedical analyst, tailored to your level. Here we work in a modern environment with automated instruments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a biomedical analyst, studying to be a biomedical analyst, or has other laboratory experience.

To thrive with us, you are responsible and enjoy working in a structured manner. With us, both tasks and pace vary, and you should be adaptable to both new tasks and a fast pace. You are good at communicating, easily collaborate, and contribute to a joyful work atmosphere in the group. A good approach to both colleagues and our blood donors is a given!

You have very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s classification "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages". We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As the assignment extends over the summer, it is a prerequisite that you are available for work during our holiday period approximately weeks 23-32. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
