Clinical pathology and cytology examine tissue samples and cell samples sent primarily from the Kronoberg County catchment area. We also have mortuary and autopsy operations. The clinic has 35 employees and is located at Växjö Hospital. In our operations, in addition to biomedical analysts, there are also doctors, medical secretaries, bioanalysts, cytodiagnosticians, laboratory assistants, and autopsy technicians.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks for a biomedical analyst at the histopathological laboratory consist of preparing tissue samples for microscopic assessment and diagnosis in various steps. In routine operations, this work involves macroscopic assessment and cutting of small samples, paraffin embedding, sectioning, staining, and microscopic quality assessment.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, and the duration is 10 months from the start date. There may be a possibility for an extended temporary position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained licensed biomedical analyst or will soon be fully trained/licensed. Experience in clinical pathology is an advantage.

It is important that you are meticulous, quality-conscious, and responsible. You find it easy to collaborate and bring joy to the work team but also thrive in independent work. A positive attitude towards business development and improvement work is also highly valued. We will place great importance on personal suitability.
