In Lagan, we are looking for a doctor who enjoys working at a smaller health center and is a specialist in general medicine. We hope you are passionate about providing good and close care for our patients in the countryside.

At our health center, we have doctors, district nurses, medical secretaries, nursing assistants, psychosocial resources/psychotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, occupational therapists, training doctors, interns, residents, and physiotherapists, though not all work full-time with us. We have about 3500 registered patients.

The Lagan Health Center is part of the western primary care and has a close collaboration with the health centers in Ljungby, Kungshögen, Sländan with a branch in Lidhult, as well as Markaryd and Strömsnäsbruk.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will have the opportunity to continuously follow your patients and take overall responsibility. The work includes rounds in home care in the local area and in special housing located in the same premises as the health center. Our child health care (BVC) is located at the family center together with a municipal preschool, where we have a doctor-led BVC. We welcome training doctors and medical students, and therefore we hope you want to mentor your colleagues and contribute your knowledge.

As a specialist in general medicine at our health center, you will have a versatile role where you can influence and develop the work. You will be responsible for examining, investigating, assessing, and treating patients of all ages. You will actively participate in meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a specialist in general medicine with a strong interest in people and collaborating with all professions, but also being able to make independent decisions. You are a person who contributes with engagement, joy at work, and is solution-oriented, wanting to work with us for high-quality care.

On-call duty at the emergency medical center is included in the assignment.
