JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our extensive trainee program spans 18-20 months and is carefully designed to provide you with a broad and deep experience within hospital care. The program is divided into three blocks, each lasting approximately 6-8 months, where you will have the opportunity to work in various exciting areas such as medicine, surgery/orthopedics, and smaller specialized clinics like acute geriatrics, acute care units, pediatrics, infectious diseases, women's health, or oncology.

The majority of your time will be spent in clinical work, where you will practically apply and develop your knowledge. The rest of the time is dedicated to your professional development through education, our development program, mentorship, and group meetings with your colleagues in the program. Each new block starts with a thorough introduction where you will meet your supervisor at the clinic who will support you during the period.

As a trainee, you will also have the chance to shadow some of our specialist services such as ambulance, anesthesia, pediatrics, and emergency care. This gives you a unique insight into the diversity of healthcare and an opportunity to explore your own interests and specializations.

Between the different blocks, there are designated times for reflection and opportunities for exchange with other trainees under the guidance of our program manager. Additionally, your mentor will be by your side throughout the program, ready to provide you with the support and guidance you need to grow in your professional role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who will graduate as a nurse in June 2026 or is a licensed nurse with up to two years of experience in the profession.

You will receive a permanent position in Region Kronoberg, and during the trainee period, you will belong to the staffing unit of hospital care.
