The Eye Clinic operates in both Växjö and Ljungby, primarily providing outpatient services with consultations and day surgery. The surgical operations are located in Växjö, focusing on cataracts, glaucoma surgery, pterygium surgery, CXL, tear ducts, and oculoplastics.
The Ljungby clinic will move into entirely new premises with its own operating room this spring, allowing us to start surgical operations in Ljungby as well. Would you like to help us launch and develop this service?
The clinic has a total of 16 medical positions, of which 4 are resident doctors. In addition to healthcare staff, the clinic also employs optometrists.
The clinic is positive about research work and currently has one doctor who is a PhD candidate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibilities as a physician at the eye clinic include consultation work alongside a nursing assistant or nurse. Both clinics collaborate through joint meetings and training. The clinic is well-equipped with OCT-angiography, SLO, and Pentacam.
The position includes evening and night shifts with on-call duty from home.

QUALIFICATIONS
You who apply must have approved specialist competence in eye diseases by the National Board of Health and Welfare.
Experience in cornea, neuro, glaucoma, strabismus surgery, plastic surgery, pediatrics, and ROP examinations is an advantage.
You demonstrate a willingness to be part of the clinic by contributing to a good working environment. You see collaboration as a success factor in daily work among different employees. Together with other staff, you want to contribute your expertise so that patients receive good care.
