The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic in Växjö is a specialized unit within forensic psychiatry with 12 care departments that have different profiles and focuses, caring for both men and women within the framework of forensic psychiatric care.

The clinic's mission is to provide high-quality forensic psychiatric care and conduct risk assessments for individuals for whom the court has decided on forensic psychiatric care and to maintain community protection. The goal is for patients, once they have progressed sufficiently in the care process at the clinic, to be transferred to their home region, another regional clinic, or another form of care. Patients should be offered professional care based on science and proven experience.

We now need to recruit new staff as we are opening a new care building that will be completed this fall.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with patients. This means building a strong care relationship, assessing individual needs, and being attentive to early changes in both physical and mental well-being, as well as participating in the daily operations of the department.

You are expected to actively participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating care and treatment, including attending team meetings and care planning meetings.

As part of the team, you collaborate with various professional categories. Through daily motivational work and other activities, you contribute to ensuring that care follows the established care plan. You are also responsible for ensuring that daily routines in the department are carried out and that safety procedures are adhered to.

The role also includes documenting and developing care and taking responsibility for specific areas within the department.

The work is flexible and may involve tasks outside the department's boundaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

To serve as a caregiver, you must have formal qualifications that meet the requirements for caregivers in psychiatry. CBT or ESL training, MI, or knowledge of treatment work and addiction care is advantageous. Experience in similar tasks is also a merit.

You have a good ability to collaborate with different professions and have experience in teamwork. Qualities such as initiative, flexibility, and a lack of prestige are valued. We also appreciate that you have the ability to see the big picture, are secure in your professional role, and are task-oriented.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
