Knightec Group is involved in developing the next generation of embedded and connected systems. Together with our customers, we create future-proof software and hardware solutions, from real-time systems to cloud-integrated products.

We are looking for an experienced embedded developer who is interested in working on projects ranging from classic embedded development to future solutions in device to cloud – an area in which we are growing.

You will be part of the Software & Cloud business area, where we have around 170 competent and engaged colleagues in Gothenburg. We work on a wide range of assignments, from hardware-near development in real-time systems to architecture and system integration with the cloud.

You will work on projects that match your experience and interests, in our in-house teams or at customer sites. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our device to cloud initiative. Examples of tasks include:

• Design and implementation of embedded software in C/C++

• System integration between embedded devices and cloud platforms

• Requirements specification, architecture, testing, and quality assurance

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams in software, hardware, and cloud

We are looking for someone with solid embedded experience who enjoys working both broadly and technically deep. To thrive in this role, you need around 10 years or more of experience in embedded development, primarily in C/C++. We also believe you have:

• A Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent

• Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written; Swedish is a strong merit

It is advantageous if you also have experience in:

• Embedded Linux and real-time OS

• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and edge-to-cloud integration

• Safety-critical standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 21434)

• CI/CD and modern embedded toolchains

• Cyber and cloud security for connected systems

• Requirements specification, system design, and testing

• Real-time systems and hardware-near development

• Projects in automotive, medtech, defense, or other regulated industries
