Description

Our school area includes Enehagen School with approximately 290 students and Fryele School with about 50 students.

Both schools serve grades F-6. We have a good collaboration between the schools and meet regularly for training, conferences, etc. Enehagen School is centrally located in Värnamo town. We are close to forests and lakes. Fryele School is beautifully situated in Fryele village. A total of about 55 staff work at our schools. We work closely with students, focusing on knowledge, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work with and develop our student health work in our EHT team. The team consists of the principal, school nurse, special educator, two special teachers, school psychologist, and school speech therapist. We work according to the EHM model, where we meet each work team twice a term. Your responsibilities as a school counselor will be to work for high goal achievement and high attendance for our students. Ensuring that students feel seen, safe, and that they thrive in our schools. You will lead and drive the work in the "Safety Group" together with the principal and provide feedback at our student health meetings or during our development sessions in the EHT team. You will contribute with the psychosocial perspective in, for example, investigative work. The municipality's joint HASP work is a recurring task that the school counselor, together with the school nurse, carries out according to the setup/year in our classes. You will be an important part of continuing to develop the preventive and health-promoting work that exists in our schools.

You will receive regular group supervision and be part of a professional group with other school counselors in the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. It is an advantage if you have experience in social services work with children, youth, and families, preferably in outpatient care, and if you have previous experience as a school counselor. As a person, you are secure in yourself and maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. It is advantageous if you have training in motivational interviewing (MI) and experience with the documentation system Prorenata. We would like you to be interested in structured development work of the organization and curious about change work. You find teamwork important and have good collaboration skills. Working towards goals and results motivates you during changes, and you are good at adapting your perspective and seeing opportunities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
