Social Worker Wanted for Work with Domestic Violence

We are looking for a social worker who wants to work with adults who are victims or perpetrators of domestic violence! We are a small dynamic team of a total of 11 employees with high competence, humor, and joy at work who care about each other.

What We Offer You!

You will be part of the Investigation and Follow-up Unit where we handle cases regarding domestic violence, substance abuse, and housing issues. The unit consists of two teams led by separate managers, one team working with harmful use and dependency, and the other team focusing on domestic violence and housing.

We have 3 caseworkers working full-time with domestic violence, where we care for each other and our shared work environment. We deal with complex issues and therefore have close collaboration within the group with a lot of collegial support.

Your main task will be to investigate domestic violence based on incoming applications. You will assess the need for interventions such as protected housing and will also be responsible for follow-up. Furthermore, you will provide advice, support, and act as a spider in the web for the victim of violence, sometimes providing practical help when needed. In your work, you will need to collaborate with various actors both internally and externally. As the work surrounding domestic violence is constantly evolving, you will be part of that development work. Of course, we also have external supervision, and to create sustainability in social work, we also work with self-care plans.

The position is a parental leave substitute with the possibility of extension.

Who Are You?

You have a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is advantageous if you have other higher education in violence, training in FREDA and Patriark. We see that you have experience in public authority work, and if it is within adults and domestic violence, it is a merit. Experience working with people in crisis and good knowledge of our various social functions is also desirable. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a good ability to work in various operational systems.

We also consider your personal qualities important, and to succeed in the role, you need to be able to collaborate easily and build good relationships. You enjoy working independently and have the ability to structure, plan, and organize your work while taking responsibility for driving it forward and meeting any deadlines. You have no problem taking the initiative when required. You are stimulated by solving complex issues and enjoy analyzing problems to resolve them. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily adapt to different circumstances. You enjoy monitoring the environment and working on development projects and creating routines and processes.

As a person, you are secure and have good self-awareness, as well as the ability to handle complex issues.

For the job, you need a B driver's license.
