We are looking for an experienced and business-driven Strategic Sourcing Consultant for an exciting consulting assignment in Stockholm. You will enter a fast-growing and dynamic environment where you will work with strategic suppliers, advanced technology, and complex contracts – in close collaboration with the business. 🤝

About the assignmentYou will be a key person in a strategic purchasing team focusing on critical suppliers and technologies. The role involves commercial responsibility for selected strategic suppliers and close collaboration with business development, project management, product management, and contract managers. You will proactively work with cost and technology roadmaps based on market and supplier intelligence.

You will also be responsible for supplier performance throughout the lifecycle and support the organization in escalated supplier issues. The assignment may also include specific initiatives such as localization, establishing supply chains in strategic countries, and analyses related to make-or-buy.

Your main responsibilities

• Drive strategic sourcing activities related to development projects and programs

• Ensure competitive supplier arrangements for each project and program

• Ensure successful launches through supplier strategy and agreements 🧩

• Establish and implement competitive lifecycle solutions

• Develop and negotiate commercial agreements and contract arrangements

• Procure materials and services and optimize business solutions

• Build, manage, and develop supplier relationships and collaboration forms 🌱

• Monitor and drive supplier performance throughout the lifecycle

• Contribute with analyses and decision-making support in strategic sourcing and make-or-buy

We are looking for someone who has

• At least 5–10 years of experience in strategic purchasing / strategic sourcing

• Experience negotiating complex agreements and contracts

• Ability to design agreements that support commercial goals

• Legal and commercial interest as well as relevant experience

• Experience driving effective and long-term supplier relationships

• Ability to make decisions even when all facts are not in place

• Strong drive, results-oriented mindset, and ability to create energy in the team ⚡

• Background from industrial or technology-driven operations

• Very good Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

Meritorious

• Engineering degree or equivalent education

• Experience in strategic sourcing in a technical environment

• Knowledge of management systems, Code of Conduct, IFS, or similar
