We need to secure support for one of our service users and are now looking for female assistants with extensive experience who can work during the absence of regular staff.

You will play an important role in providing support to a person with disabilities in their daily life, enabling them to live as independently and actively as possible.

Your mission

As a personal assistant, you will work closely with the service user, relatives, and colleagues in a home environment. You are the service user's extended arms and legs, assisting in all daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, activities, and personal and medical care. Your mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where your extensive experience and personal maturity can contribute to an increased quality of life. In the role of personal assistant, you will help create the conditions for the service user to live their best life based on their circumstances.

In your mission, you will:

• Replace regular staff during their absence and provide the necessary support based on the service user's individual needs.
• Support and assist in all aspects of daily life, such as cooking, cleaning, household chores, including assistance with personal care and dressing.
• Work closely with the service user and their relatives to create a safe and respectful environment.
• Actively contribute to creating conditions for an independent and meaningful life, in accordance with the service user's wishes and needs.
• Provide support during activities and social contexts to promote quality of life and independence.

What we are looking for in you

We are looking for someone who is service-minded, stable, resilient, and has the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. You have developed a high degree of integrity and personal maturity and understand the importance of acting respectfully and with awareness of integrity in all situations. You thrive in teamwork and have good collaboration skills, while also being flexible and responsive to individual needs. Your working style is characterized by a low-arousal approach, meaning you are always ready to provide support and help where needed.

Formal requirements

• Relevant education, such as through a care and nursing program or other education deemed equivalent by us.
• At least 4 years of experience in the care and nursing profession.
• Fluent Swedish in both spoken and written form and computer skills, as we have documentation responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches.
• Smoke-free workplace and no use of perfume during working hours, as the service user is sensitive to scents.

Based on the service user's wishes, we are only seeking women for this recruitment. Employment can only occur after a satisfactory background check from the Police has been obtained.
