About the Position

As a support educator with us at Tallrisvägen 45 and Gällersta Gryt, you will have the opportunity to use your experience and knowledge in creative ways. You will support service recipients in their daily lives, help plan activities, and contribute to a positive atmosphere.

As a support educator, you will work as part of the regular team and support service recipients based on goals and approved interventions. We work to create better conditions for our service recipients through lifelong learning and community engagement. Our focus is on offering support that promotes independence and individualized interventions for people with various types of disabilities.

Your role as a support educator also includes supporting your colleagues in the establishment and follow-up of implementation plans, as well as ensuring that social documentation maintains good quality. You will also be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing working methods and approaches with the team.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• perform care interventions and tasks based on self-care and delegation
• guide colleagues in methods and working approaches
• support and coordinate colleagues to become independent in establishing and following up implementation plans
• coordinate collaboration with relatives and interdisciplinary teams
• introduce new employees and supervise students based on your professional role
• have good knowledge of and follow laws, policies, routines, guidelines, goals, and plans
• use operational systems and digital tools in your work and document according to governing documents

About the Workplace

Tallrisvägen is a facility that supports service recipients in group housing and independent apartments. The facility is located in Brickebacken. In the group housing, six service recipients live, and two service recipients live in their own apartments, all of whom have different needs for support in daily life. You will be welcomed by an engaged team that faces challenges and develops together. It is easy to reach the facility by bus.

At Gällersta-Gryt, you will be welcomed by a driven team that cares about the development of service recipients. The focus of the facility is young adults. The facility is located in a single-story house that is well developed for the needs of the operation. The facility is located about 7 km from the city in a scenic environment.

Since bus connections to Gällersta-Gryt are limited, a driver's license and personal car are required to reach the workplace during the applicable working hours.

The Social Administration's area of functional support provides support and service to people with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications:

In this role, you need to have a good ability to meet service recipients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. It is important to collaborate well with others and to relate to your colleagues in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. You have a high understanding of how people absorb knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You are a person who can take overall responsibility and is good at taking initiatives and often coming up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with service recipients and other staff. Furthermore, you have good computer skills and can document in writing what the operation requires.

Requirements:

• vocationally trained support educator, treatment assistant, treatment pedagog, social pedagog, or activation pedagog, alternatively 60 HP in relevant subjects (such as pedagogy, disabilities, psychology, behavioral science, social work, or equivalent)
• at least two years of experience in the area of functional support
• driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• knowledge of the individual's needs in focus (IBIC)
• experience with motivational interviewing (MI)
• knowledge or experience of working with clarifying pedagogy (e.g., AAC or VISA)
• experience working with individuals with outwardly aggressive behavior
• experience working with individuals with psychiatric diagnoses

Working hours: day, evening, and every other weekend
