Summer Temporary Position as Treatment Assistant at SiS
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working at SiS presents an exciting challenge. SiS LVM home Runnagården receives women with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept women with mental health issues as well as aggressive women with violent behavior. We also accept women undergoing medication-assisted treatment (LARO).
Job Description
Take the opportunity to apply for an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment assistant at SiS.
The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to adopt new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you will help ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in providing stability and security for our clients and form the foundation of their daily lives. You will contribute to maintaining safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good therapeutic relationships and help ensure that our clients receive the safety and security they need to break old habits. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job can often be demanding but is also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
Working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, or nights.
Night positions are part-time at 95.19%. Other positions are full-time.
As a summer temporary employee at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.
Qualifications
You should have:
- At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field.
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form.
Meritorious:
- Experience in addiction care and compulsory care.
- Experience working with people in vulnerable situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care.
- Experience from other client-facing positions.
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformations. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is having a solid positive view of humanity, a strong empathetic ability, and the capacity to build good therapeutic relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.

Employment
The position is a fixed-term employment according to agreement during the holiday period. We would like you to start before summer and work as a substitute.
