About the Position

As a support assistant in housing with special services, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on daily work.

Your main task is to work together with your colleagues to provide tailored educational support that contributes to a meaningful, independent, and developing life in accordance with LSS. You provide individual support to service recipients in daily activities, which includes everything from personal care and home life to accompanying them on activities and outings. We work to create conditions for individuals to achieve their own goals.

Examples of Job Duties:

  • Support the service recipient in daily activities and employment in a pedagogical manner
  • Be responsible for finding suitable activities in consultation with the service recipients and developing them according to their needs
  • Perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
  • Carry out service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc.
  • Plan and develop work independently and together with the workgroup
  • Establish and follow goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the service recipients
  • Document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
  • Establish and follow up on implementation plans

About the Workplace

Källvägen 9 is a group home with space for six service recipients with neuropsychiatric disabilities. The facility is located in Odensbacken, and we work in newly renovated and well-adapted premises. You can easily reach us by regional bus from Örebro, and there are good commuting options from Kumla and Hallsberg via national road 52. With us, you will be welcomed by a secure workgroup that focuses on the service recipients!

The Social Administration area of functional support provides assistance and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications

As a support assistant with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet service recipients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of humanity with great respect for each individual's needs. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the service recipient and other staff, as well as document in writing what the organization requires. Good computer skills are also required for documentation.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Assistant nurse education or alternatively the child and leisure program (focus on educational and/or social work)

Meritorious:

  • Knowledge of and experience working with support signs
  • Knowledge of sign language
  • Experience working with scheduling
  • Documented experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Documented experience working in care and support

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: temporary position

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: by agreement - until March 31, 2027

Number of positions: 1

Working hours: day, evening, and every other weekend
