About the role and tasks

We are looking for a social worker for a team that works with ongoing assistance. The main task as a social worker in financial assistance involves contributing to self-sufficiency for individuals based on a MI-inspired approach. Meanwhile, we investigate, assess, and decide on the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act. The assignment involves collaboration with other relevant agencies, both internally and externally. We offer supervision and further development through relevant training. The work also includes handling estate notifications.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and knowledge of applicable legislation in the area. We see that you have experience working with financial support or other authority functions that the employer deems equivalent. Experience with motivational interviewing (MI) is an advantage. To succeed in your role, you need to be solution-focused and see opportunities in people's potential for development. You should have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards both the people you meet in your job and your colleagues and external actors. You can quickly adapt in your work and prioritize according to current conditions. The tasks require that you are self-sufficient, but you also see the workgroup as an asset. The job also requires that you are structured and can handle administrative tasks.

Good experience in handling IT systems and a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing are necessary as the work involves documentation and administration.

About the workplace
