Welcome to the Labor Market and Education Administration in Bodens kommun!

The Labor Market and Education Administration has a collective responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment issues that concern our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Culture School and food supply and performs tasks for the medical and psychological part of student health in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, secondary schools, and adapted secondary schools.

The School Development Center consists of the areas of operational development, student health, and the learning of newly arrived individuals. Together, we focus on constantly improving operations.

The Central Reception for Newly Arrived Individuals, CMN, is tasked with receiving and conducting an initial assessment of newly arrived children's and students' learning. CMN also has coordination responsibility for mother tongue teaching and study guidance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as a Mother Tongue Teacher and Study Guide in primary and secondary schools. Your workplace will be various school units and different school forms where children and students are present. Your teaching will take place in the form of in-person teaching and/or remote teaching. Upon employment, you will receive an introduction regarding your job responsibilities. You will receive ongoing support in your professional role through various support functions at the workplace. As our employee, we expect you to follow Bodens kommun's values, consciously work with quality assurance, collegial learning, and professional development.

Travel between schools may occur. A driver's license is required for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you are a licensed teacher with a Swedish teaching degree or that you have a documented foreign teaching education. If you lack teaching education but can demonstrate that you have another suitable university education, it may suffice. You have very good knowledge of Swedish equivalent to Swedish 3/Swedish as a second language 3 or Swedish B/Swedish as a second language B.

It is advantageous if you have work experience from the Swedish school system and are familiar with the Education Act and curricula for the various school forms. We therefore expect you to share this value base and can realize it in word and action. You can adapt and vary your teaching. You are a good leader in the classroom and can create trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and management.

It is also advantageous if you have digital skills and abilities so that you can conduct study guidance remotely. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You are flexible, have an easy time collaborating, and are independent. You are positive about new ideas and working methods and want to constantly develop your teaching with learning in focus. Working as a mother tongue teacher/study guide will give you rich opportunities to meet newly arrived and multilingual children and youth, and your contribution makes a difference.

The employment is permanent. We apply a vacation service of 40 hours/week with flexible hours.
