Job Responsibilities
Welcome to Bergaskolan!
As a special teacher at Bergaskolan, you will conduct modern and creative teaching and find strategies to reach each student and support them in both academic and personal development. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and in collaboration with your team. You will cooperate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff and actively participate in the school's development work. As a special teacher, you will plan and conduct lessons, assessments, guidance, and observations of both individual children, students, and groups. You will also participate in operational and methodological development and support the management in working with students in need of special support. You will primarily work with students in grades 4-6.
Qualifications
You are a certified primary school teacher and trained special teacher for grades 4-6. It is advantageous if you have experience working as a special teacher. If you have experience working with grades 4-6, we consider it a merit. Experience working with children in need of special support is also advantageous. You have good computer skills and experience using IT in your teaching. It is essential that you have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's needs or the needs of the student group. You develop the educational activities to be both fun, inspiring, and challenging. We expect you to view each student from a holistic perspective and have a positive view of students. You create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

About the Workplace
Bergaskolan is a school with all the facilities needed in a F9 school. Here you will find a large, bright dining hall, home economics classrooms, a dedicated science building, and a library where students have access to knowledgeable staff, newspapers, magazines, and both new and old literary books as well as factual books in various subjects. Bergaskolan has an auditorium with a stage and seating for 150 people. We conduct all our sports in Limhamn's sports hall. Bergaskolan is located in Limhamn, close to the city center, green areas, and the sea. Bergaskolan is a school with determined and motivated students, which is reflected in the good results they achieve. The school has a stable and knowledgeable teaching staff who understand the value of setting expectations and having high standards.
