Case Officer in Population Registration

As a case officer in population registration, you will have a varied and educational job that involves investigations and many contacts.

About the Job

You will work with investigations, analyses, and make decisions in various population registration matters, but simpler registration tasks will also occur. You will meet people from different backgrounds and request additional information via phone, mail, and digital mailboxes in contact with individuals and other authorities. The content, breadth, and complexity of the work are determined by the needs of the organization.

You will independently manage your cases and actively work to choose effective solutions. We work in teams, and you will have close collaboration with your colleagues in your team. As a new employee with us, you will receive an introduction and your team will support you in your work. Since we work with continuous improvements in our daily routines, we appreciate if you have an interest in developing the work. We offer flexible working hours, and it is essential for us that you maintain a balance between work and leisure.

You will belong to a population registration section within Population Registration Unit 6 at the Tax and Property Department, located in Eskilstuna. Approximately 40 employees work in the two sections in Eskilstuna.

About You

In this job, you should:

You should also have:

  • a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits in the old system) in economics, law, or political science

It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in administrative tasks within public operations, unemployment insurance, agencies, insurance companies, or banks.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security screening with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
