About the Workplace – ViVA
ViVA is Vingåker Municipality's unit for adult education and labor market initiatives. Within the unit, the municipality's work with adult education, labor market support, and guidance is gathered, with the goal of strengthening the opportunities for adults in Vingåker to pursue studies, work, and self-sufficiency.
The activities include municipal adult education in both theoretical and vocational training, labor market initiatives, internships, guidance, and coaching. The work is based on the individual's needs and conditions, with a clear connection to education, working life, and the local labor market. Collaboration with the Employment Service, other municipal operations, and the local business community is a central part of the mission.
ViVA is an organization that has emerged through development work and projects, and which continues to be characterized by a flexible and learning-oriented approach. While basic structures and routines are in place, there is a clear focus on collaboration, accountability, and shared learning in everyday life.
About the Project – LAVA
The position is linked to the LAVA project – Learn, Work, Grow, Active, a collaboration project between Vingåker Municipality and the Employment Service. The project targets young people and young adults aged 16–29 who are outside of work and studies (UVAS).
LAVA is a cohesive approach where various initiatives are gathered in a common structure, tailored to the individual's needs and conditions. Within the project, study support, work-related initiatives, health-promoting support, and low-threshold activities are combined to create progression, motivation, and long-term opportunities for studies or work.
The project is carried out within the framework of ViVA and in close collaboration with the Employment Service, municipal operations, associations, and local employers. A central part of LAVA is to test, develop, and document a working method that can contribute to a more cohesive and sustainable support for young people who are outside of work and studies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a job coach within LAVA, you will work closely with young people and young adults who are outside of work and studies. Your task is to support participants in their gradual progression towards studies or work through clear structure, motivating methods, and concrete activities.
The work includes both individual and group-based initiatives and takes place in close collaboration with the project's other functions. You are responsible for mapping participants' conditions, planning initiatives, and following up on development over time.
Your job responsibilities include:
- conducting mapping, individual planning, and follow-up together with the participant
- leading and conducting group-based activities within the framework of LAVA, including the Active part
- working in a motivating and coaching manner with a focus on accountability, structure, and progression
- collaborating with employers regarding internships and work-related initiatives
- contributing to participants developing work-related skills such as punctuality, collaboration, and perseverance
- documenting initiatives and progression and contributing to the project's follow-up and development
The role requires an active and forward-driving approach where support is combined with clear expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- relevant education and/or documented experience in labor market initiatives, coaching, or similar work
- experience working with young people or adults who are outside of work or studies
- good ability to structure, plan, and drive work independently
- the ability to motivate and challenge people in a respectful yet clear manner
- good administrative skills and experience documenting your work
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience collaborating with employers
- education or experience in coaching conversations, MI, or similar
- experience in group activities or activity-based work
