Do you want to work in a role where you can follow the entire development chain, from idea to finished product? At a well-established technology company with global operations, you will have the opportunity to work practically and creatively with products that make a real difference.
Here, you will encounter a culture without prestige, a strong interest in technology, and the opportunity to both design and see the results of your work in the company's own testing and lab environment.
Company Information:
Our client is a Swedish technology company with its own production in Europe and headquarters in northern Stockholm. They develop, manufacture, and deliver advanced products in a high-tech field where quality, safety, and innovation are the focus. The company has a long history and a strong international position, with products used by customers worldwide. Here, you will work in a family-like environment with short decision-making paths, engaged colleagues, and high technical competence.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be a central part of the development team. You will work on both new development and further development of existing products, taking overall responsibility for your designs, from the initial ideas to the finished product. The role combines theoretical design work with practical lab testing, where you have the opportunity to quickly see the results of your work.
You will be located at the headquarters in Täby alongside colleagues in design, testing, product development, and quality. The team consists of experienced designers, providing you with both support and room to grow.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving new product development from concept to finished product
- Creating detailed designs in CAD (plastic, metal, and injection-molded components)
- Creating and reviewing drawings and documentation
- Testing and verifying prototypes in a lab environment
- Collaborating with R&D, testing labs, and quality teams to solve technical challenges
We are looking for someone who:
Has a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
work experience
- Has several years of experience in design and product development
- Has a genuine technical interest – preferably also in their spare time
- Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in plastic design, surface modeling, and/or tool design
- Practical experience in prototype development or workshop work
- Previous experience in smaller technology companies with short decision-making paths
Personal Characteristics:
We believe that your personal characteristics are crucial for how well you will thrive in the role with our client. You are curious and solution-oriented, with the ability to drive your work forward and find new ways when something needs to be solved. You thrive in a practical and creative environment, where you can combine theory and craftsmanship. At the same time, you are meticulous and responsible, valuing quality in both design and execution.
