About our job opening

We are now looking for someone interested in an independent and varied job as a medical secretary/healthcare administrator within inpatient care in the medical operational area (VO).

With us, you will have a challenging and skill-developing job where you will gain new experiences and grow in your professional role. We believe it is important for you to feel comfortable, and you will, of course, receive an introduction in the unit where you will work.

Your tasks will include:

• Medical documentation
• Diagnosis classification
• Meeting administration
• Quality and follow-up registers
• Appointment booking 1177
• Patient phone
• Supervising students on their internships with us

The position we are filling is a 6-month temporary position.

About us

VO medicine is a large area with over 500 employees. We have nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, medical secretaries, administrators, and assistants working in teams.

Medicine is divided into three sections: Hematology, Oncology, and Lung Section, Cardiology Section, and Medicine Section.

We are responsible for specialized care in emergency medicine, heart diseases, blood diseases, lung diseases, allergy investigations, kidney diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes, hormonal diseases, and cancer diseases. Our primary mission is the care of acutely ill, multi-sick, and chronically ill patients. In addition to outpatient and inpatient care, we also conduct day care activities. We also have close collaboration with social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a YH education as a medical secretary/healthcare administrator or equivalent higher education and who is interested in a varied job where you will play a significant role in developing the operations in new digital working methods. Good knowledge of Swedish, English, and the Office suite is a requirement, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of SÄS patient administrative systems Melior, Elvis, and Mequal.

As a person, you are service-oriented, have good communication skills, and are flexible. It is also important that you can work in a structured, independent, and meticulous manner and have a good ability to work in a team to meet the needs of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
