About the assignment

As a buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the company's purchases are both efficient and profitable. You will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies for the client's external brands while planning which products to purchase based on market analyses and the company's needs.

We are looking for someone with strong social skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with suppliers. You enjoy working data-driven and strategically, while being comfortable making your own decisions and taking responsibility in a dynamic environment.

If you have previously worked as a Supply Planner or in other roles related to delivery planning, that is highly meritorious. You will work closely with other functions such as logistics, production, and category management to ensure that the entire supply chain is optimized and aligned with the company's overall goals.

Responsibilities include:

Purchasing planning and strategies: Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support the company's growth and efficiency.

Supplier relationships: Identify, negotiate, and develop collaborations with new and existing suppliers to secure the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms.

Orders and order management: Create and manage purchase orders, ensure deliveries are made according to agreements, and handle any deviations.

Assortment planning: Analyze market trends and demand to plan and select which products should be included in the assortment.

Inventory optimization: Monitor inventory levels and ensure that the right amount of products is purchased to meet customer needs and avoid overstock or shortages.

Cost control: Maintain the budget by monitoring costs and working to reduce purchasing and inventory costs where possible.

Data analysis and forecasting: Collect and analyze purchasing and sales data to anticipate future needs and make informed decisions.

Contract management: Ensure that agreements are followed and updated as needed, and manage contract negotiations.

Requirements and merits:

- A completed education in purchasing, business administration, procurement, or equivalent.

- Documented experience working as a buyer for at least two years, preferably within e-commerce.

- Experience in strategic planning.

- Ability to take responsibility and ownership in your professional role.

- Meritorious if you have experience with Relex.

- You have good social skills and can maintain good relationships with suppliers.

- You have the opportunity to work from the client's office in central Stockholm.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical, and has a strong business sense. You have previous experience in purchasing and negotiations. We also see that you have:

A good understanding of the dynamics of the supply chain and all parts of the purchasing process.

Experience in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

The ability to identify and implement improvements in the purchasing work.

Experience in flow planning.

A good understanding of optimizing inventory management and transportation.

Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
