Mother Tongue Teacher at Language Center

Job Responsibilities

Mother tongue teachers and study counselors in Hylte municipality are organized under the Language Center, which is a central unit.

Your responsibilities as a mother tongue teacher include teaching students in their mother tongue based on the school's governing documents Lgr 22. As a teacher, you should actively work with value-based education according to our curricula. From grades 6-9, you will grade students according to the subject's grading criteria.

Teaching takes place at the municipality's various schools, after school hours either using remote technology or in-person instruction. Assessments in the mother tongue may also be included, as well as assisting with the translation of documents or other important information for students and guardians as needed.

We use the learning platform IST, which is a tool for planning, implementing, assessing, and documenting students' learning, as part of a formative teaching process.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a qualified teacher with the authority to teach in the subject of mother tongue and have a Swedish teaching license, or have skills and experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and assignments. Tailoring your teaching to each student's conditions and making adjustments to promote students' achievement is a central part of the work.

An active value-based education is a given for you, just as student-active working methods are. You see the benefit of collaborating and cooperating with other professional categories to help students reach their educational goals.

A B driver's license is required, and access to a car is desirable.

Conditions

Approved grades in either SFI D, Basic Swedish course 4, or Swedish as a second language level 1.

Referring to the laws regulating background checks, the person offered this position must present an extract from the criminal record before an employment contract can be established.
