Description

We are looking for someone interested in working with people in need of support and who wants to make a difference.

Vännäs municipality offers a workplace where you are involved in meaningful work. You will have a job that is varied, developing, and educational.

We offer you work throughout the summer, parts of the summer, or as a substitute during other periods of the year. You can work in elderly care (nursing homes, short-term care, or home care) or support for people with disabilities (group homes or personal assistance). The work is scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, and night.

Working in elderly care involves independent work with elderly people who need support in their daily lives. We are looking for someone who wants to support elderly individuals in their own homes or in a care facility. The integrity, safety, and well-being of the elderly will be the focus of your work.

Work in support for people with disabilities means working with individuals who have a disability and need support in their daily lives, either in their own homes (personal assistance) or in group homes. The focus of the work is to give users the opportunity to live an independent life.

Job Responsibilities

Common job responsibilities include support/help with:

• Personal care
• Personal hygiene
• Meals
• Social interaction
• Administering medication

Qualifications

To work in care and support, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language. Knowledge in both spoken and written form is required to perform care documentation, receive medication delegation, and communicate with users.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Studied or are studying in the care and support program, or have other education focused on care or social work.
• Work experience in support and care.

Your personal suitability is important, and we want you to be responsible, reliable, and attentive. It is very important that you have a respectful approach towards users and that you consider their individual needs and wishes.

Summer Bonus

If you work with us this summer from 2026-06-15 to 2026-08-23, you may be entitled to a bonus if you work at least 4 consecutive weeks.

• The requirement for the bonus is that you work at least 75% and at least 4 weeks.
• 4 weeks of consecutive work at 75% or more = 3000 SEK bonus.
• 8 weeks of consecutive work at 75% or more = 6000 SEK bonus.

The bonus does not apply if you have been unexpectedly absent for more time than stated below:

• Work 4-7 weeks: 1 absence occurrence of max 5 days.
• Work 8 weeks: 2 absence occurrences of max 6 days.

Criminal Record Extract

Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police's criminal record must be presented.

Conditions

You must be at least 18 years old.

A driver's license is required for some of our operations.
