About the American High School, Gothenburg

Located in Lindholmen, next to Karlatornet, our newly built school opened in the autumn of 2024. Approximately 590 students study at our school in the Natural Science, Technology, Economics, or Social Science programs. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English by a competent and driven teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will instruct our students in biology and natural science. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with a dedicated and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are a natural part of everyday life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials combined with traditional literature.

This position is a temporary hourly employment for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license and experience in teaching, as well as the qualifications to teach biology and natural science. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, sharing our pedagogical vision:

You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital teaching materials and possess solid digital competence.
