NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

About the operation
We specialize in gastrointestinal diseases, liver diseases, kidney diseases, endocrinology, and diabetes.
We offer our patients person-centered and advanced care. With us, we provide both acute care and planned care for, for example, kidney biopsies, PD surgeries, AV fistula/graft surgeries, salt load tests, and colonoscopies. The majority of patients are admitted acutely, and we have a large variation in care times. Many of our patients may have a complicated care process with an acute illness that requires quick handling and teamwork.

We know that it is important for you as a nurse to have time for the patient. To succeed in this, we have ongoing development work in the department that means we clarify the role of the nurse so that you can fully utilize your nursing competence!
How do we do this?
We strengthen the team around the patient. Our nursing assistants receive extended responsibilities so that time for you as a nurse is freed up. This extended responsibility includes assistance with medications and bag dialysis as well as handling and inserting PVK. We also use SBAR report sheets that are printed directly from the journal, which saves time during reporting and the team around the patient gets a common and clear picture of the patient's situation since the report sheet contains relevant information.
We offer individually tailored introductions based on your knowledge and experience and further development in the form of continuous competence development through both internal and external training. We have a clear career ladder that provides you with opportunities for further education.
About you
We are looking for a licensed nurse. We prefer that you have a genuine interest in acute care and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
As a person, you have a high work ethic, good communication skills, and are confident in yourself and can meet people in an engaged and professional manner. You are a positive person who sees opportunities, is flexible, and enjoys working in a changing environment. You are confident in your professional role, can work independently, take your own initiatives, and are receptive. Additionally, you are solution-oriented, stress-resistant, meticulous, and easy to collaborate with. You have a holistic view of the patient, are engaged, and want to develop patient-centered care in the department. Since we work in teams, there are high demands on collaboration skills, holistic view, and flexibility. You are driven and have a desire to develop within your profession. If you are also a person who strives for community and a good work climate, then you are the one we are looking for! Experience from acute care is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Clinical Foundation Year
As a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of NU Healthcare's clinical foundation year. The clinical foundation year is an initiative to give newly graduated nurses a good start in working life. You will have better opportunities to develop in your profession and build a professional identity through introduction, seminar days, and professional guidance.
Other
The Västra Götaland region has made a salary investment for nurses working in round-the-clock care. We aim to offer the opportunity to work 2 weekends out of 5 for those who wish! Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period.
