Social Worker for Northern Inner City

Welcome to us
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable social worker for one of our units for children aged 10-19 years.
You will work with 8 colleagues to be responsible for investigations, care planning, and implementation of interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act. The work takes place in an experienced group of committed employees. Your role
As a social worker, you will work with colleagues to investigate the needs of children and young people for protection and support according to Chapter 11, Section 1 of the Social Services Act. Investigations prompted by the duties of social services under the law regarding young offenders. You will also work with families and partners for care planning, treatment assignments, implementation, and follow-up of interventions. In connection with placements, you may take on the role of the child's case manager. You will receive continuous support from your manager, method supporters, and your colleagues; in addition, we have regular group meetings and internal and external case supervision. The work requires good collaboration with other groups within the organization as well as with external actors such as schools, police, and child psychiatric services.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work
- Good knowledge of the legislation within the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Young Persons (LVU)
- Good administrative skills
- Ability to express yourself easily in speech and writing
It is advantageous if you have:
- Current experience of working with investigations within the authority's work with children and youth
- Training and experience in Children’s Needs in Focus (BBIC)
- Training and experience in Signs of Safety
We are looking for someone who wants to work with a child-focused approach and has ideas and takes initiatives on how we can create the best conditions for our families. Since the work is based on collaboration, it is important that you are professional, have good teamwork skills, and want to contribute to a positive work environment in a safe team. You can switch between working with others and working more independently. You will be responsible for driving the work forward in a structured way and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work well. You need to have good communication skills both in speech and writing and good empathetic ability to adapt to the recipient. As a person, you should be stable, curious, and flexible. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities, as we see this as an important part of both the actual client work and the employee experience within the unit.
