At Skäringsbol, there are six apartments and four cottages connected to the residence. The facility is located in a secluded yet central area of Kristinehamn, close to nature and beautiful surroundings.
Skogsgläntan is adjacent to the group home and is staffed by fewer employees.
The group home is part of the Support, Care, and Nursing Administration in Kristinehamn Municipality, which consists of two operational areas: functional support and elderly care. Within functional support, we work with individuals who have functional variations. Functional support operates seven group homes and a service apartment for individuals with functional variations under LSS. Our group homes are located both centrally and a few miles outside the center.
The core mission of the administration is to provide care, support, and rehabilitation for the elderly, assist people in living independently, and provide support and services to individuals with disabilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Residential support is an assessed assistance and is a support in the individual's home or local environment. The support may involve helping individuals get started with daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, and structuring their everyday life or receiving social training. It also includes personal hygiene and care.
Your role as a residential support worker is to work motivatingly and supportively with the individual so that they can manage their daily life as independently as possible. In some cases, the support aims to maintain the individual's current functional ability. The starting point of your work is the individual's implementation plan with individual goals and sub-goals. Great emphasis is placed on individual development based on the individual's own conditions. Your tasks include social documentation and collaboration with various partners.
The individual performs tasks as independently as possible with the support of the residential support worker, and the goal is to eventually manage their daily life on their own and live a more independent life. The support is individualized and governed by an implementation plan created together with the individual.
The position at Skäringsbol involves day, evening, and night shifts. The position at Skogsgläntan involves solo work and round-the-clock duty. Some resource shifts/pool shifts may also be included in both positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who have:
- relevant education in care and nursing, leisure leader education, or other education in the areas of the position
- experience working with individuals with functional variations
- good knowledge of social documentation
- familiarity with current legislation
- a B driver's license as travel by car is included in the job duties.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
In addition, you are a self-driven, flexible person who handles stressful situations in a stable manner. You also find it easy to collaborate and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help both individuals and your colleagues. Providing good service to each individual is something that is very important to us. Furthermore, it is important for us that you have an empathetic and pedagogical ability and work from a low-arousal approach.
