Working as a student teacher gives you a unique opportunity to apply the theory you learn during your education in practice. You will gradually be introduced to your new profession and grow in your teaching role alongside us. With flexible working hours, you have the opportunity to decide when you are available, making it easy to balance work and studies. As a student teacher, you not only have the chance to supplement your student income but also to help shape the future of our children and students and influence their learning and development, while gaining invaluable experience in your future profession.

As a student teacher, you can work as a temporary employee on short-term assignments ranging from 1 to 14 days. There may also be opportunities for longer assignments within our organization. On our LinkedIn page, which you will have access to when you are hired as a student teacher, you can express your interest in these longer assignments.

You will work with children or students at various schools and replace regular staff during their absence. This means you will be exposed to several different working methods that contribute to your personal development. By gaining work experience and building a strong network, you will be well-prepared for your future career in the field.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone studying a teacher education program in one of the following areas:

• Preschool Teacher Program
• Primary Teacher Program with a focus on preschool class and grades 1–3
• Primary Teacher Program with a focus on grades 4–6
• Primary Teacher Program with a focus on working in after-school centers
• Subject Teacher Program with a focus on grades 7–9 or high school

You need to have completed your first practical training (VFU) with a passing result, or have previous experience working in schools.

Our expectations of you as a teacher are that

• You have good pedagogical skills, a positive attitude, and are a reliable role model for our children and students.
• You have a flexible approach to working hours as the job may involve being booked at a school on short notice.
• You have a high adaptability and responsiveness to quickly acclimate to new environments and contribute to a functioning operation.
• You are responsible, proactive, have good collaboration skills, and can set boundaries when necessary.
• You have good communication with children, students, staff, and guardians and can convey a message clearly. Therefore, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
