About the position
We at Perido are now looking for a finance assistant for our client, an educational institution focusing on engineering, architecture, technology, and natural sciences. The organization is characterized by close collaboration with industry and society, as well as a strong emphasis on innovation, research, and sustainable development. The environment is international, and students often work on projects with both theoretical and practical elements. You will be based in the office located in Gothenburg.
Your responsibilities
The role involves broad responsibilities within accounting and financial administration, focusing on accurate reporting and follow-up in accordance with applicable regulations and agreements. The work is carried out in close collaboration with internal functions as well as external financiers.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate accounting in accordance with internal guidelines and external regulations
- Financial project reporting to financiers
- Interpretation and application of terms from financiers and other contractual parties
- Ongoing accounting and bookkeeping
- Work in financial systems, such as Raindance and Hypergene
- Posting of vouchers
- Management of accounts payable and receivable
- Participation in year-end closing work
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding incoming and outgoing payments

Qualifications:
- University degree in finance or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education and five (5) years of work experience as a finance assistant
- Experience in accounting, budgeting, and year-end closing work
- Knowledge in at least 3 of the following points in the job description 1) ensuring good accounting in accordance with internal and external regulations 2) financial project reporting to financiers 3) interpretation of terms from financiers and other contractual parties 4) work with accounts payable and receivable 5) respond to inquiries about incoming and outgoing payments
- Experience working with financial and administrative support systems
- Experience with financial systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate fluently in spoken and written English and Swedish
Meritorious:
- Experience in financial work within higher education/university or similar research activities
- Experience working with the support systems Raindance and Hypergene
- Experience in project accounting
Scope and start date
Full-time, consultancy assignment until 2027-01-31. Start 2026-02-01.
