Support Assistant for Group Home in Öckerö Municipality

About the Workplace

The group home is located in Öckerö, close to a beautiful outdoor environment. The group home consists of 6 apartments and common areas for social interaction.

The users have decisions according to LSS, and the operation is based on respect for the user's self-determination and integrity. Each individual should be given as much influence and co-determination as possible over the services they receive to live like others and have good living conditions. The users have varying functional variations, and the main task is to contribute to making everyday life understandable, manageable, and meaningful for the individual.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you will work closely with the individual and help create a meaningful and safe everyday life. You and your colleagues ensure that the services are implemented according to legislation and that each individual's needs are prioritized. We work from a salutogenic approach, and KASAM is part of our working method - each individual should have an understandable, manageable, and meaningful everyday life. You will actively participate in various tasks that include everything from pedagogical support in daily living to personal care. You will also collaborate with the other network surrounding the users.

The work also includes tasks such as documentation, establishing, following up, and evaluating implementation plans, as well as being involved in developing work methods and routines.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a support assistant and/or has experience working with the target group. You have a positive view of people, a good value base, and a strong commitment to creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our users. It is important that you have the ability to build good relationships and focus on the individual's needs. You are secure and stable in your professional role and have an unpretentious approach in collaboration with others.

We would like you to have further education and/or experience in psychiatry. Knowledge of low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and experience with documentation in your work is an advantage for the position/temporary employment. In our operations, we document in Life Care. It is required that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as documentation is part of the job.
