In the field of support for people with disabilities, you will work with everything from home care to supporting individuals in their workplaces, leisure activities, or in creative environments such as theater and music. Daily support is the foundation – but needs vary. Regardless of the assignment, the goal is always the same: to enhance people's independence and quality of life.

What is a disability?

A disability is a reduced physical, mental, or intellectual ability. It can be congenital or arise later in life and can be visible or invisible. Each person is unique – with their own abilities, needs, and strengths – and that is what makes the work both meaningful and rewarding.

Our services

We are recruiting for several services within support for people with disabilities:

• Housing with special services (BmSS) – 24/7 operations.
• Daily activities – habilitative and work-oriented activities during the day.
• Housing support – support in the client's home environment, primarily during the day but also evenings and weekends.
• Short-term accommodation for adults – time-limited support and care for adult clients.

Placement is based on the needs of the services and your previous experiences.

Job responsibilities

The work varies depending on the service, but may include:

• Pedagogical support in daily life
• Personal care
• Cooking, laundry, and other daily tasks
• Activities and social support
• Documentation and medication management according to delegation

Challenging and self-harming behaviors may occur in some of our services.

Summer temporary positions:

You need to be able to work according to a schedule for a few consecutive weeks during weeks 25–33. In your application, please indicate when you are available to work. There is an opportunity to start as a substitute before the summer.

Substitute positions:

As a substitute, you work as needed and input your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night depending on the service.

Qualifications

To apply for a position with us, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations regarding minors' working environment (AFS 2023:2).

To be able to document, you need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

If you are a trained support assistant, nursing assistant, or have another education that the employer deems equivalent, or if you have ongoing education in care and nursing, pedagogical, or social work, it is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in care and nursing, pedagogical, or social work.

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and the group's tasks. You think of those we are here for and their best interests. You do your best to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on how it turned out.

You are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You work to ensure that the student/client/user receives what they need.

You remain calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-informed decisions despite time pressure.
