I Ur och Skurskolan Skattkammarön is an outdoor school in Norrköping that started in 2006. We have a warm school atmosphere where our profile is outdoor education. The teaching is based on the I Ur och Skur and Friluftsfrämjandet's unique pedagogy. The proximity to nature and water provides great opportunities for conducting lessons outside the classroom. Nearby, we also have both Stadium Arena, the ice rink, and the library, which we often take advantage of.

The school is located next to SMHI, in the growing district of Sandtorp, with good connections to central Norrköping.

We have 145 students in grades F-9. The teaching groups consist of 12–18 students. We have an open and supportive faculty where team spirit and collaboration are in focus.

We are looking for a committed and secure teaching assistant for our lower grades and after-school care. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with one or more students in need of extra support during the school day and in after-school care. You will collaborate with classroom teachers, after-school staff, and other personnel to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment – both indoors and outdoors.

Our school operates according to the I Ur och Skur pedagogy, where nature, movement, and experiential learning are a natural part of the teaching. A large part of the day is spent outdoors, in all weather.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support students in the classroom, during breaks, and in outdoor education
• Help students with structure, focus, and social interaction
• Actively participate in the activities of the after-school care
• Be a secure adult in both learning and play
• Collaborate with educators and other staff

We are looking for someone who:

• Is secure, attentive, and responsible
• Enjoys being outdoors year-round
• Has a genuine interest in children's development and learning
• Is flexible and has good collaboration skills
• Has experience working in schools, after-school care, or outdoor education (meritorious)

You have documented and good leadership skills. You have experience in leadership roles whether within or outside of school (meritorious).
