About the position
In the role of IT Operations Technician, you will primarily be responsible for first-line incident management, initial troubleshooting, ticket distribution, and monitoring of flows and alarms. You will have a central position where you ensure and coordinate what is required to guarantee high operational reliability. Together with your colleagues, you will work closely and act quickly to minimize the negative impact of incidents.
Main responsibilities:
- Receive incidents and create tickets in the ticket management system
- Resolve and/or escalate open incidents to 2nd/3rd line support
- Perform basic diagnostics and restore services according to instructions (Linux, Network, and Windows)
- Follow up and provide feedback on tickets to both technicians and reporters.
- Work according to ITIL with a focus on incidents in the ticket management system and improvement work
As an IT Operations Technician, you will contribute to ensuring a stable IT operational environment for Svenska kraftnät. Here, you will be challenged to act quickly and identify deviations before they affect users.
The position involves rotating 2-shift work, meaning both day and night shifts. All shifts are 12 hours, either from 07:00 to 19:00 or from 19:00 to 07:00. The work is on-site.

As an IT Operations Technician, you will belong to the IT Operations Center, which consists of 10 employees, all in the same role. You will have many points of contact, primarily internally, but also externally in the form of supplier contacts and more.
About you
To be successful in this role, we see that you are a responsible person who values your work and wants to collaborate in a team. You are structured in how you approach tasks and meet deadlines. As a person, you have a good sense of service and the ability to listen, understand, and communicate well to prioritize the right things. We are looking for someone who can quickly familiarize themselves with new tools and processes and wants to contribute to improvement work.

Furthermore, we see that you have a degree in IT, computer science, or equivalent education or work experience that we consider comparable. You also have:
- At least 2 years of current and relevant experience in 1st or 2nd line support of Windows and/or Linux environments
- Experience in server operations (e.g., Linux/Unix, Windows)
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
We consider it a merit if you have:
- Worked according to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
- Experience in monitoring and alarm management, for example, from working in a NOC/system monitoring function
- Experience working in critical environments (e.g., energy sector, telecom, finance) where operational reliability is crucial
