About the position

Svenska kraftnät is in the midst of a technical generational shift that encompasses everything from digital transmission stations to advanced communication with other European transmission system operators – and we need your expertise to make it possible.

As a Network Technician, you will be part of an experienced and dedicated team of 15 people who together are responsible for the operation and development of both internal and external infrastructure – jointly ensuring and expanding the network environment. You will work on everything from troubleshooting to monitoring and further development of a very large and complex enterprise environment, where the demands for availability and security are high. We continuously evaluate and develop our work methods and are moving towards a more agile direction, while also driving ongoing work to automate our environments – where your experience and contribution will be significant.

Your role is crucial in the effort to keep Sweden's electricity supply stable and future-proof. You will have every opportunity to influence an ongoing technical transformation journey and be involved in solutions that contribute to ensuring that Sweden neither goes dark nor comes to a halt.

About you

We are looking for someone who is both self-driven and a team player, with an eye for improvements and the ability to anchor them through collaboration. You are confident in your knowledge and dare to take the initiative to drive development forward, while valuing collaboration and contributing in an unpretentious and helpful manner. You are structured, value quality in your work, and are curious to learn both about existing environments and new areas.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a relevant education in IT or have equivalent skills acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. You also have:

Several years of current and relevant work experience in a medium to large network environment that has focused on high uptime and availability, or experience in the role of network consultant.
Several years of work experience in high availability environments.
Very good knowledge of routing/switching (Cisco).
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience with:

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.
Experience leading or driving projects.
Experience in network automation preferably with Ansible, Python, Catalystcenter, or equivalent tools.

Possibility for remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
