The area of operation (VO) for children and youth at Helsingborg Hospital includes the children's and youth emergency department, children's ward, neonatal ward, day care, scheduled outpatient clinic, as well as play therapy and school. Within the area of operation, we have about 300 employees.

At the children's and youth emergency department, we provide care for children and young people up to 18 years old. We have just opened our new joint emergency department for all children and young people in need of emergency medical care, which is why we need to expand our team. In the emergency department, we work together in teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors to provide children and young people with professional help at the right level of care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work in a team with nurses and doctors, focusing on care, assessment, and treatment of sick children and young people.

In addition to direct work with patients and their families, we expect all staff to be active and involved in change work and in the effort to develop and improve care within our units. We offer you regular professional development and training. We are a workplace that enjoys working together, we have an open atmosphere, and no question is too small.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.

We prefer candidates with specialist training in pediatrics or emergency care. Previous experience in pediatric care and/or emergency care is an advantage. Knowledge in surgery, orthopedics, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) is desirable. Knowledge of casting is also considered an asset.
