Occupational Therapist at the Social Services Administration

The mission of the Social Services Administration is to provide care, support, and treatment to elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and those in need of home healthcare. The administration has approximately 1,700 permanent employees and generates over one billion kronor in revenue. The Social Services Administration is divided into four operational areas: regular housing, special housing, disability support and services, and the health and medical care department. The administration also includes the authority unit and a staff with important support functions such as HR, finance, and IT. What We Offer You!

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with assessments of activity ability, treatment, and training.

The work also involves prescribing assistive devices and providing guidance to nursing staff from the occupational therapy perspective. In your daily work, you will have dialogue with various professionals within the municipality as well as with, among others, Region Skåne regarding care planning via Mina planer. The group meets collectively at workplace meetings, and in addition, we also have professional meetings where we meet in our respective professional groups to develop each other and the organization.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and have a high ability to collaborate and solve problems. As a person, you have a positive outlook on life and enjoy contributing and working together across professional boundaries. You are solution-focused and have great respect for the individual and enjoy helping others. You should be able to work in a team while also feeling a strong responsibility for your own contribution and for our patients. Experience in similar work is an advantage. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills are required.

Before employment, you need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, which is done by presenting that you have Swedish citizenship, citizenship within the EU/EES, or a valid residence and/or work permit. Flexible working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.

A Class B driver's license is required.

About Us

Within the Social Services Administration, we provide care, support, and assistance to individuals who are elderly, have a disability, or need home healthcare. We also offer health-promoting interventions and support to those who care for and support a relative. Our goal is for those who need care and support in their daily lives to be able to live as independently as possible.

The health and medical care department is responsible for interventions within home healthcare and rehabilitation. The interventions are carried out by nurses, nursing assistants, rehabilitation assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, who also delegate to care staff within other operational areas based on their profession.
