The habilitation clinic for children and youth caters to children and adolescents up to 17 years old with permanent disabilities and their families. The children and adolescents may have mobility impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. The operation is based on interdisciplinary family-centered teamwork, which means that the child and family have full participation in planning, implementation, and follow-up of interventions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome you as a psychologist to our clinic! With us, you will be offered a broad and varied position where you provide psychological support and counseling to children, adolescents, and relatives regarding the disability and its consequences. We value collaboration and good cohesion and see your contribution to the team as valuable for our joint work.

As a psychologist, you are responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing individual and group therapy, and participating in various group activities. Furthermore, you are expected to participate in educational efforts for the youth themselves, parents, and the wider network. You plan interventions together with children, adolescents, families, the habilitation team, and other networks such as schools, child and adolescent psychiatry, and social services. Much of your work and contact with families will primarily take place remotely via video contact or phone, and physically when necessary. This means that travel may occur as part of the job.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30, Tuesdays from 08:00 to 18:30, and Fridays from 08:00 to 14:30, with the possibility of flexible hours.

The habilitation in Skåne is an organization that cares about the development opportunities of its staff. Therefore, there is the possibility to apply for unit, operational, and administrative assignments. Some of these assignments are directed towards your own professional field while others may concern, for example, quality registers, resource teams, or knowledge support. There is also the opportunity to drive development work and write, for example, evidence-based reports. As a new employee with us, you will be offered an introductory program tailored to your needs and profession.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are a licensed psychologist with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities, habilitation work, and/or child psychiatric operations. It is also beneficial to have a valid B driver's license and good knowledge of intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, autism, and/or psychoeducational work.

This is a position for you who thrive in collaborating within a team alongside colleagues from both your own and other professions. In your work, you are structured and self-driven with a good ability to initiate contact and build trust with children and youth. It is important to you that children and youth are heard and that their views are taken into account. You easily adapt to changing circumstances in your work and see opportunities in changes.
