Norrköping Swimming Club is looking for a Head of Swimming School Activities

Norrköping Swimming Club (NKK) was founded in September 1919 and has since been a prominent association in swimming and water sports in Norrköping, Sweden. Over the years, the club has played a central role in promoting swimming as a lifelong sport and has contributed to shaping several generations of swimmers with fantastic successes. We are looking for a Head of Swimming School Activities who wants to help develop the program and work in a team. The role includes leading our swimming school groups with a focus on swimming education. Your experience and a clear leadership style are important. You will work with other staff to create an inspiring atmosphere and drive a program aimed at achieving the club's long-term goals. We see that you are a positive, action-oriented, and results-driven person who leads and inspires your team within the swimming school activities. Communication with staff and our members is essential. The job requires being in and around the pool, followed by administrative tasks.

What the role entails:

As the Head of Swimming School Activities, you are responsible for the overall direction and are a link to other activities. You will:

· Develop and lead the swimming school with the aim of achieving the association's strategic goals.

· Continue to develop the entire association's activities together with responsible persons in the various areas.

· Ensure that the activities are planned and implemented on a seasonal basis.

· Be responsible for the results and budget of the swimming school activities.

· Be responsible for personnel and working environment. Recruit, plan, coach, and educate trainers in the swimming school activities.

· Have good written and verbal communication skills.

· Have experience and good knowledge of leadership.

· Have knowledge of the physical and mental development of children.

· Teach groups in the water and be engaged and interested in swimming education. Ensure that we follow the Swedish Swimming Federation's swimming line.

· Have relevant education, preferably according to the Swedish Swimming Federation's educational ladder, ideally a licensed swimming instructor and previous leadership roles.

Your qualities:

You love swimming and are passionate about working with swimming skills and training for children, youth, and adults. You enjoy working in a team that drives and develops the activities forward together. As a leader, you have great integrity, are a good communicator, and possess strong pedagogical skills, along with the ability and willingness to create good team spirit and engagement.

Employment form:

100% where about 35% is swimming school teaching and the rest is administrative tasks. Contract according to the Sports Industry Agreement.
