About Us

The Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation Service is aimed at children and adolescents up to 17 years old with permanent, congenital, or acquired disabilities and their families.

The children and adolescents may have movement disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities. The operations are based on interdisciplinary teamwork where medical, psychological, educational, and social competencies collaborate. Our approach is person-centered, which means we strive for the child to be involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions.

We also conduct structured development work focusing on evidence-based group interventions and an expanded range of e-services.

Job Description

We offer you a broad and varied role that involves helping children, adolescents, and their parents to achieve the best possible conditions for a well-functioning everyday life. Supporting the child's environment in creating good conditions for development and health in various ways.

As a psychologist, you contribute important expertise to the team around the patient, and in your role, you will conduct psychological assessments, provide psychological support, counseling, supervision, and treatment to children, adolescents, and parents based on the individual's disability and its consequences for the young person's development and daily situation. These interventions can be provided both individually and in groups. Psychological assessments are also part of your duties.

In addition, you will participate in planning interventions together with the child, adolescent, and parents, as well as other important individuals in the patient's network. A significant part of the work is to collaborate with other actors such as the municipal student health services, preschool/school, child psychiatry, pediatric medicine, social services, and more. Methodological and development work is also included in the job responsibilities.

As a new employee, we offer both mentorship with an experienced psychologist and introduction and support in the ongoing work.

Who Are You?

You are a licensed psychologist, preferably with experience working in child and adolescent rehabilitation or child and adolescent psychiatry.
