Your workplace

The ambulance service in Värmland is county-wide with ambulances placed in twelve locations. We are a suitably sized and cohesive healthcare organization with short decision-making paths that allow you to see the whole picture and influence.

For the summer of 2026, we are looking for new employees for the ambulance station in Sunne. Summer positions may transition into permanent positions.

Your tasks

The ambulance service is challenged by the acute care of sick and injured individuals in many different environments. By assessing, referring, caring for, and transporting patients, we contribute to ensuring that the patient receives good care at the right level. Our goal is always to have a secure patient who knows the next part of the care chain.

Work shifts will occur both day and night.

Healthcare

Healthcare is based on our patients' needs and our employees' competencies. We want to advance healthcare together with our staff. We strive for a good working environment with stimulating tasks and individually tailored onboarding. All new employees undergo a 7-week introductory and position training.

Your skills and competencies

We are looking for you who are an ambulance nurse or a licensed nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience. As a person, you are responsible and flexible with good collaboration skills. A B driver's license is required, as well as at least 3 years of driving experience. C1/C driver's license is an advantage.

Before any employment, you must complete work tests and undergo an approved health check conducted by the region. Region Värmland promotes a drug-free work environment and applies mandatory drug testing for new hires.
