We are now looking for a unit manager with IT knowledge who wants to work in a knowledge-intensive and exciting organization where you can make a difference every day. Your mission
As a unit manager, you belong to the Access Development office in the Cyber Department. The department has two main tasks; to strengthen the protection against qualified IT attacks from abroad on critical societal operations in Sweden and to develop and deliver access and exploitation capabilities to the signals intelligence operations.
We are now looking for a unit manager who will be responsible for both developing our capabilities and ensuring that these capabilities are used in an operationally optimal way.
As a unit manager, you have personnel, budget, and operational responsibility as well as responsibility for the employees' work environment. An important part of the role involves being responsible for planning, implementation, development, and follow-up of the operations. You are also responsible for the unit's methods, processes, information, and production. In addition to being responsible for ongoing work, the mission includes recruiting and developing the unit with everything that entails in terms of new routines, working methods, and similar. You will also continuously work on reviewing and developing regulations for the unit's operations.
In your role as a unit manager, you primarily work with operational issues but also with more overarching and long-term matters. Your points of contact are primarily within your own office and department but also within other parts of the authority.
In the role of unit manager, your main tasks are to:
- create conditions and lead the operations you are responsible for
- collaborate and be a support for cooperation within and outside the office
- develop the operations, the unit, and the staff
- be informed and involved in legal matters concerning the operations
- have a managerial appointment, which includes budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility
- recruitment is included
You will also continuously work with section, office, and department-wide issues as part of the section's management group. You should also be prepared to represent the entire office's operations. Contacts and collaborations with FRA's clients and partners mean that travel within and outside Sweden is included in the position.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree
- Several years of work experience in an IT/technical related field
- Knowledge of IT security, computer communication, and business development
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Technical education with knowledge in one or more areas such as IT infrastructure, IT security solutions, networks, computer technology, software development, or have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience
- Experience in business development
- Management and leadership experience
- Experience from intelligence services in general and particularly signals intelligence
- Keep yourself updated on developments in the IT security field demonstrating a strong technical interest
- Knowledge of other relevant languages

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a successful security clearance with background check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
