Department Director at the Government Offices of Sweden
Are you a results-oriented and experienced manager? Do you want to lead the development of administration at the Government Offices of Sweden? Can you lead and motivate others? Then we can offer you the challenging role of Department Director to lead the administrative department of the Government Offices.
Your Workday. Sweden's Tomorrow.
The Head of Administration at the Government Offices assists the Prime Minister's Secretary of State and the Legal Director in the ongoing management of the Government Offices. Under the Head of Administration, the Department Director has a cross-agency responsibility for issues related to information management, financial reporting, financial administration, procurement, purchasing, local supply, local services, and administrative support to government committees. The department also includes the Swedish Central Register for NATO Documents. The Department Director leads and plans the department's activities. The department is divided into three units – Economy and Business, Information Management, and Local Supply and Committee Support – which are further divided into sections. The Department Director has personnel responsibility for the unit managers. Approximately 235 people work within the department.
Within the department's various activities, there are good opportunities to improve the department's contribution to the agency's efficiency in various respects through the development of working methods and processes, supported by digital technology. A central task for the Department Director is therefore to lead a systematic change and development process together with the department's managers. This will require close cooperation with other departments within the Administration Department and good dialogue with the ministries on how the operations should best be developed. The Department Director is part of the Head of Administration's management group.
