Kommunal's Unemployment Insurance Fund is Growing and Seeking Three Engaged Lawyers

With us, you will have a central role in a new legal unit, where you combine operational work with strategic development, all in a knowledge-intensive and value-driven environment focused on efficiency and legal security.

About the Position:

As a lawyer at Kommunal's Unemployment Insurance Fund, you will be part of our professional legal unit, which will consist of five employees. The central mission is to work together with the legal manager to ensure that our operations are conducted legally, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable legislation. You will work both operationally and strategically with legal issues and contribute to strengthening the organization's compliance.

We are looking for three different profiles in this recruitment.

Profile 1.

Experienced lawyer with legal specialization in our core operations, namely within the Unemployment Insurance Act (ALF), the Unemployment Funds Act (LAK), and the Administrative Procedure Act (FL).

Profile 2.

Experienced general lawyer with a focus on legal areas such as contract law, tax law, data protection regulation, public access and secrecy, and labor law.

Profile 3.

Junior general lawyer who has recently started their career and is looking for a first or second role where you quickly gain responsibility, broad legal development, and close support from experienced colleagues, focusing on contract law, tax law, data protection, public access and secrecy, and labor law.

The lawyers report to the legal manager.

Tasks included in the various positions include:

• providing qualified legal support in individual cases
• developing routines and working methods for quality assurance and legally secure case management
• identifying and suggesting improvements that enhance both quality and efficiency
• representing the unemployment fund in court processes
• drafting opinions and other legal documents
• monitoring legislation and regulatory changes
• conducting training to strengthen the independence of case handlers in their exercise of authority.

About You

To thrive and succeed in the position, you need to have good professional judgment and a high degree of integrity and accountability. You work analytically and structured and have the ability to quickly grasp complex legal matters and translate them into clear and practical support for the organization. Your working style is proactive, and you can independently identify legal risks and obstacles and propose solutions that enhance both quality and efficiency.

You are confident in making independent decisions, even in pressured situations, and can adapt your working style when conditions change. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you maintain a high level of service in legal advice. As a lawyer, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you have a strong sense of security awareness.

Common for all three profiles we are looking for:

• hold a law degree or equivalent legal education
• have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• easily adapt to new systems and tools.

Meritorious:

• if you have completed a judicial clerkship, worked in a government agency, and/or have experience in litigation.

We offer good conditions, including a workweek of 37.5 hours with unregulated working hours, 32 vacation days, three days off, lunch subsidies, and 5,000 SEK in wellness benefits.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a six-month probationary period, starting as soon as possible or by agreement. Kommunal's Unemployment Insurance Fund has a collective agreement with Handels.

The position is located at our beautiful headquarters in central Stockholm. Travel may occur in the position.
