LW Sweden is looking for an Accounting Economist

Role Description

As an Accounting Economist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and legal accounting for the entire group. You are a key person in the finance function and work both operationally and strategically with year-end closings, reporting, accounting principles, and process development. You will also act as a support to the CFO in financial matters.

Main Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the accounting in the parent company and the overall coordination of the accounting in the group's subsidiaries.

• Lead and ensure the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings as well as annual reports according to K3.

• Ensure that the group complies with current accounting regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies.

• Coordinate and ensure the quality of group reporting and manage consolidation.

• Work closely with the CFO on financial matters.

• Continuous monitoring and analysis of balance sheets as well as handling reconciliations and intercompany transactions.

• Responsible for preparations for audits.

• Support other staff in accounting issues.

• Initiate and drive improvement and digitalization projects within the accounting area.

• Participate in the development and documentation of routines and processes within accounting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics or equivalent relevant academic education.

• At least 3 years of experience in qualified accounting work.

• Good knowledge of the K3 regulations and solid experience in group accounting.

• Comfortable working with various financial systems and proficient in Excel.

• Experience in leading or participating in improvement and development projects.
