The Dermatology Clinic at Västervik Hospital is looking for new specialist colleagues!

Västervik Hospital is a smaller acute care hospital with close collaboration between clinics, various specialties at the hospital, and with dermatology clinics within the Kalmar region and the southeastern healthcare region.

In your role as a specialist physician, you will not only work with outpatient patients but also serve as a specialist consultant to other clinics at Västervik Hospital. The dermatology clinic has broad expertise that closely follows the development of both new technologies and new treatment methods. The treatment of skin tumors is coordinated through close collaboration with the surgery, ENT clinic, and the pathologist, and multimedia referrals have deepened collaboration with primary care. At the dermatology outpatient clinic, you will meet patients and initiate appropriate treatments within general dermatology and venereology. We offer our patients, among other things, bath and light therapy, PDT, wound care, hyperhidrosis treatment, and epicutaneous tests. Since the operation trains ST doctors and receives resident doctors, supervision is a natural part of your assignment.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist physician in dermatology-venereology. You need to have good professional skills, be meticulous and secure in your profession, and focus on the patient. You have good collaboration skills, can prioritize the best interests of the organization, and can adapt to changing conditions. Your communication skills and willingness to develop both yourself and the organization are prerequisites for thriving with us. A driver's license is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The dermatology clinic is a specialist clinic that operates in Västervik and Oskarshamn. The clinic consists of a dermatology outpatient clinic and an STI clinic. The dermatology outpatient clinic in Oskarshamn belongs to the specialist unit and is staffed by doctors from Västervik about twice a month. At the dermatology clinic, diagnostics and treatment of diseases that cause symptoms in the skin and of the diseases included in the concept of STI are conducted.
