You will work as a nurse for inpatients in close collaboration with other knowledgeable colleagues, and together you will deliver the best care for your patients. About You

Together with colleagues in the team, you will treat patients with internal medicine conditions for the best medical outcomes. Your Future Workplace

Medicine Department 5 is a general medicine department with 12 beds divided into two care teams. Here we provide care and support to patients with diseases within internal medicine, such as lung diseases, infectious diseases, endocrinological diseases, and hematological diseases. Most patients are emergency cases with varying complaints. The department has specialists in neurology, rheumatology, hematology, lung diseases, and internal medicine diseases. Clinics for COPD, sleep apnea, and diabetes are linked to the department. We also have outpatient services in the department where we investigate patients with various forms of endoscopies, biopsies, surgeries, blood tests, and X-ray examinations.

We have a close collaboration with medicine departments 4 and 6 where patients with heart diseases and strokes are cared for. This close collaboration allows you to broaden your competence further and gain a great variety in your work based on your own wishes. Västervik Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with maternity care and a maternity ward. At Västervik Hospital, there are jobs for those who want to develop in their role alongside friendly colleagues.
