As our health and medical care services grow, we are looking for licensed nurses for several positions within the municipal health and medical care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an open recruitment, which means we accept applications continuously for:

in any of our service areas; care homes, home healthcare, psychiatry, LSS, and short-term services. You do not need to know exactly which position or service suits you; we will have a dialogue and match based on skills, experience, and interest.

The work as a nurse in Kalmar Municipality is varied and rich in content. You will encounter everything from advanced home healthcare to palliative care, medication management, and wound care. A large part of the work is characterized by continuity, where you follow patients over time and have the opportunity to work person-centered and see the effects of the care you provide.

You will work both independently and in a team and become part of a cross-professional collaboration with nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, case managers, and unit managers. Collaboration also occurs closely with health centers and other care providers.

You will work scheduled days and evenings, with shifts typically every fourth weekend. The schedule is predictable and planned well in advance, allowing for a balance between work and personal life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in the profession is an advantage, as is previous experience in municipal health and medical care, but it is not a requirement.

Further education, such as a district nurse, elderly nurse, or other relevant specialization, is considered an advantage.

As a person, you take responsibility for your assignment, enjoy both independent work and teamwork, and have the ability to prioritize and adapt to the situation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license is required.
