JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Kriminalvården provides some open healthcare services, which means that all prisons and detention centers have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. In the clinics, there are, in addition to nurses, general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, but you will also evaluate which applicants should see a doctor. This means that you will work with both somatic and psychiatric healthcare for the inmates, assist during doctor appointments, and primarily administer medication through dose dispensing.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have a strong sense of integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You are quality-conscious and meticulous, and you have the ability to structure your approach and drive your processes forward.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share Kriminalvården's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and the belief that people can develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to everyone being treated equally through your approach. We place great importance on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Nursing license
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is advantageous if you have:

• A relevant specialization or further education for the employer, such as in psychiatry, emergency care, or outpatient care
• Relevant language skills
• Experience in relevant work as a nurse in psychiatry, emergency care, home care, or outpatient care
