You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and secretaries. You will work independently and as part of the team with medication follow-ups, parent education, parental support, and care planning for the children and young people who come to us. Reasons for seeking help may include anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues. The focus will be on health and health-promoting interventions. In your role, collaboration with schools, social services, and healthcare neighbors is essential.

BUP is currently undergoing a transformation. An increase in mental health issues among children and adolescents has led to a significant demand for services, both in Kalmar County and nationwide. About you

You who are applying are a licensed nurse, and a B driver's license is required. A specialist education in psychiatry is an advantage. Furthermore, work experience in clinical work with children, adolescents, and their families and/or step 1 training in psychotherapy is also advantageous.

As a person, you are empathetic, secure, and attentive – you have the ability to meet children and adolescents in difficult situations with empathy, good communication, and professionalism. You understand the importance of building and maintaining good relationships with patients and their families.

We prefer that you are used to working both independently and in a team and enjoy the combination of children/adolescents and psychiatry. You are engaged with a strong interest in development and learning. You see the value of good collaboration and enjoy sharing and receiving new knowledge and experiences. Your commitment, teamwork skills, and positive attitude contribute to a good work environment where we all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best treatment quality for our patients. Your future workplace

You will work in new and modern facilities adapted for specialized psychiatry. The facilities contribute to better coordination of psychiatric services and a good working environment for you. BUP consists of inpatient care and an emergency department located in Kalmar, as well as outpatient clinics in Västervik, Kalmar, and Oskarshamn.
